Writer’s Block

My hands and mind are pretty full with running the household in Bruce’s absence.  I just haven’t had the kind of energy that I need to write good blog posts!  Overall, the kids and I are doing well.  But the pace is constant and the breaks are few and far between.  I don’t normally relate a whole lot to the Proverbs 31 woman, but I’m thinking my activity level must be getting close to hers as of late!  There just isn’t much down time right now.

Things are going well for Bruce and Nathan.  They are spending time with the other adoptive families from Minnesota and Nathan and Jason have been able to get together and play and hang out.  They went out to the orphanage today to take new passport pictures of the boys.  Bruce said that he was told the passports can take up to 10 days to arrive, so that is probably our most urgent concern at this point.  I’m hoping with the taking of pictures, the applications will be completed and submitted today.

I will attach some random photos that Bruce and Nathan have been taking from the various activities and travels around Kyiv.  It is hard to be away from your best friend for so long.  Please pray for Bruce and I as we persevere through this time apart.  We miss each other a lot and we have 12 more days!

Thank you for your prayers and words of encouragement!

I love your posts. My husband and I are waiting for our immigration approval and hope to hear soon that our dossier will be sent over for our adoption of Georgiy. I saw that you had a photo of him with Ruslan. Would it be possible to get a copy sent to my email address? We are trying to compile a before and after photo album of him. The Ritzman’s have been so helpful in sending us photos as they are able. It is truly an honor to meet such wonderful families through the ECAS program. I look forward to hearing from you and wish you all the best in your final steps to bring Nathan home. Our God is an Awesome God, isn’t he!!!
